Gina, it's wonderful to see you back and posting!

Misc.
I will be trying the apple cake this week. I am hosting my book group on Friday, and on Saturday I have friends coming for dinner. Great "reasons"! to do some baking.

Encouraged by your results with Splenda, I decided to price it out while I was running errands today. Did you see Kirstie Alley (sp?) on Oprah yesterday...she looks fantastic! And she is 5 years older than I am; but like her, I want another "kick at the can!" I feel so inspired when I see these women looking so youthful and energetic into their 50's, truly, there is such a different attitude toward aging these days.

Anyway, in the last few months my weight has edged up another notch, and I say, forget it! I am going to lose it, and more...so look out Splenda, here I come!

And the universe is with me...I found it in the markdown bin for $.99/200 g. (1 lb = 454 g.) Now I just have to empty all the little packets into a container (I bought 7 packages), LOL!

I am also eating a little something every few hours. It feels "right", when I sit down to dinner with my family, I am not ravenous, and I have a bit of what they are having, and fill about 2/3 of my plate with veggies/salad. I don't feel deprived at all; it's kind of fun to know my next meal is not very far away! And I get more variety in my diet, since I eat lunch twice.

Wish me luck!

Carolyn!

p.s. be sure to tell me if you find any more special uses for Splenda!
