Hello everyone,

I have never used this site today, and was thrilled to find someplace where I might find the info. I need. I have searched everywhere for the recipe that came with my Christmas tree mold bought many, many years ago. To my horror, I finally came to the conclusion that I tossed it out at the end of last years festivities.

Does anyone have the egg nog jello recipe for this mold. The tree was white (I think it used lemon jello, but am not sure. At the bottom of the mold, I think I placed cherries and mint leaves. Sound familiar?

I would very much appreciate it if someone has this recipe. I am having a huge Christmas party on Saturday and would like to serve this.

Thank you.

Just came across my tree jello mold this weekend while cleaning and in it was the recipe that came with it:) While there are several recipes in it I think this may be the one you want.

HOLIDAY NOG

2 cups boiling water
1 package (8 serving size) lemon flavored jello
1/2 cup cold water
1 1/2 cups cold milk
1 package (4 serving size) vanilla instant flavored pudding and pie filling
2 teaspoon rum extract
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 cups Cool Whip, thawed

Stir 2 cups boiling water into jello 2 minutes or until completely dissolved. Stir in 1/2 cup cold water. Cool to room temperature.

Pour milk into medium bowl and add (dry) pudding mix. Beat with wire whisk about 30 seconds. Immediately stir into cooled jello until smooth. Stir in rum extract and nutmeg. Refrigerate about 1 1/4 hours or until slightly thickened (consistency of egg whites).

Gently stir in whipped topping with wire whisk until smooth and creamy. Pour into tree mold or 5 cup mold.

Refrigerate 4 hours or until firm. Unmold. Garnish as desired.

Makes 10 servings

Was this the one you wanted?

I also lost the recipes that came with the Jello tree mold. I searched for about 2 hours and finally found it in an old recipe box (I know me and I NEVER throw anything away!). Thought I'd share and save someone the headache of searching:

HOLIDAY PEAR TREE
JELLO CHRISTMAS TREE MOLD

2 cups boiling water
2 packages of 4-serving size Jello brand lime gelatin
1 cup cold water
1 (16 oz) can pear halves, drained
9 maraschino cherries
1 cup thawed Cool Whip

Stir 2 cups boiling water into gelatin in a large bowl for 2 minutes. Stir in 1 cup cold water.

First half: measure 1 1/2 cups of the gelatin into a bowl and refrigerate 1 1/2 hours or until thickened.

Second half: Refrigerate remaining gelatin in a large bowl for 1 1/4 hours or until slightly thickened.

Slice a couple pear halves into 8 long pieces and then dice the remaining pears. Drain 9 maraschino cherries. Arrange pears and cherries into the bottom of mold.

When first half of gelatin is thickened, carefully pour over fruit in mold, pushing fruit down if it begins to float. Refrigerate 30 minutes.

When second half of gelatin is slightly thickened, stir in whipped topping with a wire whisk until smooth. Stir in diced pears. Carefully spoon over the set gelatin and fruit in the mold.

Refrigerate 4 hours or until firm.
