1970s Food - Tab, Pepsi Light (and detatchable aluminum can pull tabs)

Misc.
Tab and Pepsi Light were very popular "Women's" drinks in the 1970s. I personally became "hooked" on Tab and probably went through a case of it a week. Pepsi light was similar to Tab, but had a lemon zest.

And, of course, we all squished and saved our aluminum cans and cashed them in for pennies a pound at the recycling center. Glass bottles were also recyclable.

Pull tabs on aluminum pop cans (the ones that detatched) came and went in the seveties. We made chains using these pull tabs by bending the tab over the ring of another. Great fun, however, it became dangerous to walk barefoot in parks and on beaches because discarded pull tabs would cut your feet.
