Hi Karyn,

Oh, I am so glad you made it and it turned out to be a hit! It was a hit also at the party I took it too! I bet it would be just as good with crushed almonds and layered with raspberry jam in the middle.

I am thinking of tweaking the recipe somehow to make it a chocolate layer cake...can you imagine a tall cake of chocolate frosted wonder with a tall glass of cold milk, yummmm!!!!

Another thought, would be for the middle to have a thin layer of vanilla pudding and then layer it with either sliced bananas or sliced strawberries. The possibilities are endless with this cake!

Glad you got to make it and thrilled your folks with it!!
