Boss Sauce -- Question

The closest I got was putting mexican hot sauce (chipolte salsa from the mexican food section) in the blender, adding a bit of sugar and some cider vinegar. It's way too vinegary!

Do you have any idea how to modify this base recipe so it works? I know that I'm close!
