Containers for lunch

Misc.

I'm not exactly sure what types of containers MOST teen-age kids will carry these days. My kids are young-adults and out of school now. However, once they reached junior high - they would not be CAUGHT DEAD carrying a thermos, tupper-ware container, etc. NOTHING that had to be RETURNED HOME. They would take things in brown paper lunch bags that they could hide in their back pack. And I'm sure it was usually squashed. The minute they came home from school they ate like mad! They were allowed to buy cafeteria food 2 times a week - budget was reasonably tight
I know a lot of kids are individuals and will carry thermos, etc. It also has something to do with where you live, and the other kids. A LOT to do with the other kids. What goes in one town doesn't always work 10 miles away.

Can you query some local mothers of kids a year or 2 older -- to see what is done locally?
