Cookware on an electric range

Misc.
Are your hobs solid cast iron or ring elements?

The solid hobs take longer to heat up, and longer to cool down. After heating up, turn the dial down by a quarter {trial and error}.

I have a set of heavy cast aluminium cookware, but have recently inherited a set [nearly complete] of Renaware. The set is thirty years old and looks brand new - works a dream!!

I have cooked gas, ceramic glass, electric rings and now solid hobs - all have their drawbacks, but a good quality set of cookware helps significantly.
