ISO: Expensive Pots and Pans for an Electric

Misc.
Love the site! I got a question. Please help me.

I love to cook. Unfortunatly, I live in an apartment with an electric stove. NO GAS
STOVE!! I've been wanting a nice pot and pan cookware set for so long. I like the
Calphalon sets, but is it worth buying this expensive set for just an electric stove?
Would I reap any rewards from using this quality of set on an electric stove? Should I
just stick to inexpensive pots and pans that can be bought at K-Mart? Perhaps you can
recommend another set that would suit my needs?

Please help me.
