Dark Fruitcake

Gioia...
Thanks for the dark fruitcake you posted in replay to my inquiry.
It was what I was looking for---simple, and with the ingredients I
wanted to use. I added half a cup of shopped dates to your recipe,
and a half cup of chopped apricots...since you said your mom
removed citron and pineapple.
It is delicious. I baked it for 50 minutes instead of 60.
I will make a second fruitcake sometime in mid-January '99.
