Dear Micha: How interesting. We share many

Misc.
preferences and the love for cooking and cookbooks. Another one of my favorite chinese dishes is Orange Chicken. Eggy was so kind as to find for me the original recipe (with tangerine peel). That recipe is at the International Board. I recommend it to you because I had cooked all kinds of imitations but it never tasted like the authentic recipe that you can taste at restaurants. Thanks to Eggy's kindness I am an expert cooking my favorite chinese dish. Tangerines are readily available here in Puerto Rico. I guess also in Arizona.

The chinese restaurants that you mention are not at Puerto Rico. But we have many small and also big chinese restaurants because there are a lot of chinese people living in our island. The food is delicious and their vegetables too. In Hato Rey, just 2 blocks from my home there is a nice chinese restaurant called Yumm Yumm Tree. Their vegetarian dishes are exceptional. It is a shame that they do not offer brown rice becausa I love it. They offer white rice and also, Fried Rice with all the trimmings, including small shrimps, pork and all the other ingredients.

Dear Micha, thanks for corresponding with me. Have a very nice week end, your friend,

Gladys/PR
