Dear Susan, In Puerto Rico it is very

Misc.
trendy now to serve fruit shakes. You can prepare them with or without rum. They are similar to our famous Pi~na Colada, but without the Coco Lopez. My favorite is the Banana Shake. I use ripe bananas (or any other fruit), peeled and cubed, 1 cup of sugar or to taste, 1 cup of evaporated milk and crushed ice. You use the Osterizer. You can add rum or vodka. Also artificial colors. The same applies to the Papaya. It must be very ripe, peeled and cubed. Then you add the other ingredients. We use pinneaples, coconuts, bananas, papayas, strawberries, lemon juice, mangoes and whatever other fruit piques your fancy. But the best papaya shakes are from Cuba. Gina can provide their recipe.

Your friend,

Gladys/PR
