Recipe: Mexican Fondue (using pureed chili and Velveeta, microwave)

1 pound Velveeta process cheese, cut in small cubes
1/2 cup picante sauce (or as needed)
1/2 pound shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Milk (if needed)
1 cup prepared chili, pureed in blender
Tortilla chips, for serving
Place Velveeta cubes in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for about 30 seconds. Stir and repeat until cheese is almost melted.
Add about 1/2 cup of the picante sauce and the shredded cheddar. Microwave as before until cheese is nearly melted. Taste and add more milk or picante sauce as needed.
Add hot cheese to chili in blender bowl; pulse just enough to mix.
Serve with tortilla chips.
Makes 6 servings
