Dipping Oil - How it worked out

Misc.
Thought I'd let you know how we ended up doing the dipping oil and bread. DH took matters into his own hands when he saw that I was running out of time before the meeting. He cut the loaves of bread into slices, and then the slices into quarters, so each piece was about a two-bite size. That turned out to be a good size for dipping handily. He put the chunks into a big bowl, and poured the flavored oil into what is essentially a large dinner plate. It was the centerpiece of the pre-meeting meeting! We used one of the commercially-prepared flavoring mixes that are widely available now, but there are several recipes for homemade flavorings here on TRL.

Two other successes from the evening were Apple Cake with Warm Caramel Sauce, and a Greek-inspired version of Spinach Squares. I will post them separately.
