friendship cake

Misc.

My mother made Friedship cake for years in my home and when most of us kids had left home she didn't need to make them as often, however the storage methods she tried did not worked. So she pasted it on to a good friend to use and borrowed from her when there was going to be a crowd to visit, or one of us kids requested a cake. It was greatly received and I know it was passed off a number of times amoung their group of friends as "Edna's cake mix", as her orginal instructions went with it each time. Hope this helps in your situation. I would think close friends who cook would love to get a pre made cake starter. Good luck. Susan, in Toronto.
