Gina, your trip sounds fabulous. My SIL did something like that not too long ago, rented a little red drop-top and drove the highways along the CA coast with the wind blowing thru her hair. The rest of us, muddling along thru a gray Maryland winter, were so envious!

You two remind me of a character from a kid show my littlest one watches. The character is a grandmother, but NOT the rocking-chair type. She always says, "Life is a picnic, and I'm starving!"

Well, my kids are growing up - can't stop them - the youngest is almost 7 now. DH says that when we drop her off at her first college dorm room, we're going to have our toothbrushes in the glove compartment, and we're just gonna GO!

Have a wonderful time on your trip, and remember to tell us your stories when you come back. I'll try that cake at 350, and simply keep an eye on it. Men will eat just about anything anyway, I've found, so I'm not too worried.
