Hey Julie!!!

Misc.

I've got to say Julie... I think your idea of adding chopped artichokes could be a real winner!!! I love marinated artichokes... and I just posted the recipes... (finally) up above... I had this great idea as well... I bet it would taste amazing stuffed under the skin of chicken breasts... or if boneless skinless would be desired... a slice or two into the side of the breast and carefully put back together...

I'm so glad to hear that your daughter has such a loving mother... In a world that places so much value on money and things... one of the greatest things a parent can offer a child is self-worth... and by you placing your own life aside for your child... you have shown her that she is worth even more than money to you. I'm afraid that many children these days will never have the confidence that develops when they know that they are valued...

Its sometimes hard for me in NYC to watch parents with their children. I don't know if perhaps its this way everywhere... but one of the most noticeable things that breaks my heart is when I'm riding on the subway... and a child is trying to talk/or make baby sounds to his/her mother (the person who is suppose to love them the most)... and the mother is too busy listening to her walkman...(and don't get me wrong...I'm not picking on mom... where is dad???) I can't help to know that something is really missing. Not that each parent should be present every moment, however you can see in a childs eye when the have become calloused to not being heard...( aren't the eyes the window to the soul?)

I perhaps may be missing something... since I have no children... I admire people who's actions clearly say the message... in a time where words are cheap in the ears ... how you live and act will speak clearly and loudly to the heart.

I'll be looking forward to your great posts... and continue being the great mom that you are.

I keep meaning to introduce myself at "the kitchen table" who knows...very soon I hope..

Happy New Year Julie!!!
