How to De-junk your bedroom closet...

Here's probably the best way to clean out your clothes closets and drawers:

Take EVERYTHING out. Lay stuff across bed, set up folding tables, etc. Line up a row of empty boxes that have been labeled, "Trash", "Charity", "Sort", "Emotional Withdrawal", etc.

THEN, start putting things back into the closet and drawers that your wear, that fit, and that are not hopelessly out of style.

Next, go through the rest of the stuff and place the items in the appropriate boxes. Bring the "Charity" box to your church or local Goodwill-type place. Haul the "Trash" box to the garbage pile. Seal the "Emotional Withdrawal" box with sealing tape and mark the date six months from now on the outside of the box. Go through the "Sort" box items..things like unmatched socks, hosiery with bad runs, items missing buttons, clothes that are too tight (!), and so forth.

About that "Emotional Withdrawal" box...when the date on the box rolls around, bring it to Goodwill or the Salvation Army WITHOUT opening it and you won't even remember what's in it! ;0)
