I bought some cactus jelly (more)

Misc.

in New Mexico last October. The clerk said she tried to make it 'once' and
never again. Said it's too hard and takes a long time to clean the stickers off
the cactus. I ate cactus as a side dish in Mexico a few weeks ago. It was on
the salad bar. It was chopped in tiny pieces, almost squares, with a sorta
sticky sauce. Looked a little like chopped green beans, only flat. Not much
taste. I didn't care for it. The jelly was too sweet. Not really a flavor in
it either. To me, it wouldn't be worth the work either.
