I have Braun also

Misc.

I also have a Braun but am the only coffee drinker so it gets only a pot a day use. It has an additional filter (crystal filter is what I think they call it) which was a real boon at one apartment. We had water that not only didn't taste good, but reeked. Otherwise, I think it is the same as Carol's. The caraffe is rounded and better than the Mr. Coffee type but I still spill now and then. I like the timer features also. I can't specifically recommend it for heavy coffee drinkers. My parents have a Mr. Coffee that has a double reservior that stays hot so coffee is ready in 2-3 minutes. However, they did put it on a timer because they didn't want it drawing electricity all day long. They have had it over a year now (I think close to 2) and it brews 2 pots a day. There have been no problems with it thus far.
