Recipe: Mushroom Blue Cheese Appetizers

3 cups finely chopped mushrooms (about 8 ounces)
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
5 tablespoons margarine or butter, softened
2 cups Bisquick Baking Mix
1/4 cup boiling water
4 ounces blue cheese, softened
1 (3 ounces) package cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
3 tablespoons snipped fresh parsley
Grease rectangular pan, 13x9x2 inches.
Cook and stir mushrooms, onion and Worcestershire Sauce in 2 tablespoons margarine in a 10 inch skillet until mushrooms are brown.
Mix baking mix and remaining 3 tablespoons margarine in small bowl. Beat in 1/4 cup boiling water until dough forms. Press dough in pan with hands dusted with baking mix.
Mix blue cheese and cream cheese; spread over dough. Top with mushroom mixture; sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and parsley. Cover and refrigerate up to 4 hours.
WHEN READY TO BAKE:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Bake uncovered until crust is golden brown, 25-30 minutes; cool 10 minutes.
Cut into about 1 1/2 inch squares. Garnish with silvered almonds or chopped pimiento if desired. Refrigerate any remaining appetizers.
