It might be Leberknoedel Soup

Misc.
Great fun trying to track it down, even as far back as 1800!!!

It might be an Austrian recipe which is basically "Liver Dumpling Soup". and not infact a sausage soup.

I am trying to get hold of a copy of it, but many variations were obviously made...My German contacts are looking.
