APPLE CRISP
4 cups peeled and sliced apples
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup quick-cooking oatmeal, uncooked
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/3 cup butter, softened
Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
Place apples in an 8-by-8-inch nonstick pan.
Mix sugar, flour, oats, cinnamon, nutmeg and butter until crumbly; spread on apples.
Bake 30 minutes, until top is golden.
Makes 8 servings
