ISO: Sausage Soup

My grandmother used to make a "soup" that contained large meat balls made of pork sausage in a broth-like soup. I remember onion and whole peppercorns in the broth. It might be a polish recipe. I would love a recipe for this to share with my family if it sounds familiar to you.
