and yes, I have to keep on top of it, just the dust in the house shows up! At least the burners are sealed, that's very nice. I have always had gas ranges, usually propane as we usually live in the boonies. My parents have a smooth electric cooktop. I have to really concentrate on what I am doing when I cook there, electric cooks so different from what I am used to. I finally used my Shark vacumn and removed the cornmeal, crust particles and the salt I had dumped on at the time of the incident. It's practically spotless and I am calling it good for now. I did read in the manual that I can clean it "the old-fashioned way" as long as I don't try and mix the two at the same time! Think that is the way I will go. Thanks for your info, it's always nice to hear from you.
