Julie!!!

You are one of the sweetest people I have met on the internet... I wanted to thank you for all of your well wishes... and the virtual housewarming gift...not to mention all of your wonderful posts... I always look for your name to see whats going on and how things are going.

The weekend my parents came down to visit... turned into one of those visits that will go down in the family book under unforgettable stories you will continue to tell at any family get together.

As you recall it was the weekend before Christmas that they were coming to NYC which is not really a good weekend to visit NYC if driving makes you nervous since it is the last weekend before the holiday... and EVERYONE is out to do that last minute shopping... I gave my parents directions on how to get to our place... but somehow they got lost... and ended up at our address... but in Manhattan rather than Brooklyn. Well... that wouldn't be so bad except our address in Manhattan is right smack at Rockefellar Center... near where the famous christmas tree is lit... as well as close to where they film Goodmorning America!!! My parents finally called 2 hours later than when we expected them... I was worried but glad to know they were safe... I took the subway in, and picked them up and we all drove back to my new house.

It turned out to be a great overnight.... Dinner was served a bit late... but was good... Initally a couple of my friends in the neighborhood were going to stop by for coffee... and dessert...but they have a little one... and she's just getting her bigger teeth... and well... dinner was much later... so we decided on having them over for breakfast.... I made my famous Quiche Lorraine... (with gruyere cheese and smoked bacon!) and served salad...with a homemade tarragon vinegarette... fruit salad... and bagels with creamcheese... and or lox. fresh coffee and a couple types of fruit juice...

It was a good time... and I really hated to see them leave... Thanks for asking about how things went... I guess you must be busy... I haven't seen you on the board since the 16th... I know how hectic holidays can be... In anycase... Happy holidays!!!! :)
