Recipe(tried): Chicken Crepes Mornay (Seventeen magazine, 1970's)

I just made this for dinner tonight. I was sifting through my old recipes and came across this one from the November 1978 issue of Seventeen. When I first made this recipe in 1978 it stunned the people I cooked for. I was a teenager at the time and it definitely earned me some cred with my family and my friends. I look at it today and think, "Does the average teenager know how to make crepes and a roux?" It's a little rich, and I scaled down the fat for the dinner this evening. I sauteed the mushrooms in half the butter, and it's not necessary to use light cream for the final sauce; milk is fine, I think.
