Kathy, We are on our second "paper-eater" now.

Misc.

Our first one was put to sleep last year at 13 1/2 years (I have 13 years worth of stories to tell - I miss her so) and this recently adopted 1 1/2 yr. old is following right in her footsteps (both female Dobies). Have male Lab who doesn't chew anything - not even bones! All waste papers baskets have some sort of lid and were/are kept on toilet tank top, kitchen can is a metal step-on with lid. Kleenix was a favorite although any paper would do in a pinch:) Loved pool cue chalk too. I have a favorite "cute" story if you are ever interested. Let me know. ***Just a note - it does lessen with age! Also there is a product called "bitter apple" available at pet stores or Vet for problem chewing (my first dobie liked some of my plants and books too! I treat them like toddlers...give them something to play with and keep the dangerous stuff out of reach. Good luck!
