sauce brushed on the chair rungs my dog used to chew. It might be worth it to prepare a piece of his favorite paper (even $20 bills...nah!) and clumsily drop it where he might pounce. I would also investigate, at your drug store, the bitter liquid they used to sell to brush on fingernails to cure nailbiters. I DO highly recommend buying your dog beef-flavored CHEWIES and offering them to him very frequently, because you obviously have a chew-happy dog!
