We don't use salt except when absolutely necessary, thus the "Lemon Herb" inclusion. It's a matter of personal preference (neither of us likes salted "Saltine" type crackers, so usually look for the unsalted type).

There's no reason that salt and freshly ground black pepper cannot be added to suit one's personal taste, however. If you enjoy a hint of lemon, however, you might add a few drops as well.
