Pickled Asparagus - question...

Misc.
Do all pickled asparagus recipes have to be processsed in a water bath? I have an induction cooktop and I have never seen a canner that would work on my cooktop. I was wondering if I could just pour the very hot brine over the asparagus in glass jars and then put the lids on and store in the refrigerator.

Thank you.
