LIME--PICKLING

Lime is calcium hydroxide and may be referred to in
pickling recipes as slaked lime, hydrated lime or lime
hydrate. Be sure to use lime as a soak solution only and to
rinse product in several changes of water before proceeding
with recipe. Do not use lime purchased from lumber supply
stores for food use.

Lime is found in most grocery stores with the pickling
supplies..

I'm sorry I personally didn't know what pickling lime was. Never used it. This was a recipe I reposted from Marilyn's original post on the Canning & Preserving message board on June 25, 1998
