Misc.

This recipe is from my grandmother's file.
She was a wonderful cook & this is a
tried & true family recipe. Hope you like it!

Ma's Brown Bread

Preheat oven to 350
2 c. All Bran 3 Tbs. Molasses
2 c. Sour milk tsp. Salt
c. Brown Sugar 1 tsp. Soda
c. White sugar 2 c. flour
1 c. raisins

Combine All Bran and sour milk & let stand.
Cover raisins with hot water and set aside.
Mix sugars, salt & molasses together.
Sift flour & soda together and add alternately to sugar mixture with milk mixture. Mix well.
Add drained raisins.
Pour into 2 well greased cans or loaf pans, filling about 2/3 full.
Bake for about an hour.
