My Mother-In-Law makes a bread at Easter time that she calls Egg Bread. I believe the recipe is from her Italian mother-in-law in Jersey. The Bread is just delicious, and filling, great with a cup of Joe in the morning. =)
I don't have the exact recipe at the moment, but I've helped her make it. It starts out w/ a pretty typical dough recipe, when the dough is done rising, she pats it out large enough to fit in a greased cast-iron skillet w/ enough overhang to fold over the top. On the dough she pours an egg mixture similar to scrambled eggs w/ salt, pepper etc. but there is diced smoked sausage in the egg mixture. If that is similar to what you need I'll get the recipe from her. I'm sure it would be no trouble, and you can add your ham, bacon etc.
