re: can radishes be pickled

You should check Japanese recipes. They do a pickled radish just slicing and putting the radish slices in a brine solution in the fridge for a week....it smells awful and tastes pretty good. They do the same w/cabbage leaves, etc. Ask a Japanese cook about these veggies w hich they call skimono, or small salad. Linda in Albuquerque
