Buca di Beppo Baked Ziti Copycat Recipe at Memo's Kitchen
BUCA DI BEPPO'S MARINARA SAUCE

Makes about 6 cups
1/4 cup olive oil
1 red onion, chopped
6 cloves garlic, chopped
2 cans (28 ounces each) crushed tomatoes
Salt and ground black pepper to taste
3 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
Heat olive oil in 3 quart saucepan over medium heat. Add onions and garlic and saute until golden brown, about 6-8 minutes.
Add tomatoes and season with salt and pepper to taste. Bring to boil, then cook over low hear approximately 30 minutes, stirring often. Remove from heat and add the fresh basil.
