Re: Dessert Tapas for Lil, Washington

Misc.
Hi Lil:-) After a trip to Majorca, my daughter gave me a cookbook, My Kitchen in Spain: 225 Authentic Regional Recipes by Janet Mendel for Mother's Day. She even contacted the food editor of The Washington Post for a recommendation before purchasing this book and this is the one that was recommended. As Gladys, suggested, there really is not a dessert tapas as such, but it is a fun idea and would be a fun way to entertain. I'm not sure whether you are looking for just a variety of desserts or if you want them to be authentic Spanish desserts. Anyway, in this cookbook there are 14 recipes for cakes, cookies and pies, 3 for deep-fried pastries, 7 for candies and confections, 5 for puddings, 5 for frozen desserts and 2 for fiesta sweets. While I don't type very well or fast, I would be willing to post a few recipes for you if you have an idea of what you would like. Another suggestion for you would be to check your library for Spanish cookbooks if that is what you are looking for. Good luck with your party, Lil.
