Oh, I had to laugh out loud about the lipstick! Maybe if you look presentable, they won't notice that the white tornado hasn't been to visit!!

Someone told me once that all this compulsive dusting and vacuuming started during an age when coal dust filled the air and covered our houses. I really don't think a person has to vacuum/dust more than once every week or two, maybe more if you have a lot of traffic. Life's too short for it, kids or no kids.
