re: help Moles are taking over

Tips and Tricks - Home and Garden
We had tried everything to rid our home of yrs of moles..
our whole yard looked like a mine field. we have an acre or more of yard we hired a man to come and rid us of the little varmits , he taught us to use "scissor traps".You can get those at most farm stores.cost about 10 to 12 bucks.
you have to dig down about6 inches in the dirt mound which is a clean out tunnel.. til you find 2 holes going down both sides of the clean out ..take that dirt out til you can make a clear runway between the two holes.put the trap there....the trap will act like a tunnel/bridge between those two holes .Put the trap in that junction and fill around with loose dirt.
moles are territorial and one can dig twenty holes. when it returns after a few days it will dig thru that area and you will get him..we leave the carcass in the hole ..as a lesson to the others who will follow ..they use the same runways in the future.
we have a record yr with 17 so far,,
good luck..
