The Flint style recipes you all have are way off. I called a very famous coney restaurant in Flint and this is the parts to the recipe the manager gave me, I serve it daily at my cart in Pensacola FL. along with Koegel's hot dogs and it is perfect.
THE REAL FLINT STYLE CONEY SAUCE
Minced onions
Paprika
Chili powder
water
25lbs of hamburger and beef heart mix.
Mix it all together raw and simmer
Salt and pepper to taste.
This is IT!!!!! Don't let anyone else tell you different I will leave you to figure out the amounts. They use Chef spoons with this amount of meat mixture. Good luck it took me several weeks to get the mix right. (it's a secret) lol. To tell you the truth it would be easier to just come by and see me and get all the goodness without all the work. Good luck
