I don't think that Hobo Stew is an East Coast/West Coast thing since we made those packets as well as Camper's Stew. Both were yummy, especially when one was outside camping and oh sooo very hungry. Did you all make Mock Welsh Rabbit? We melted chunks of Velveeta in Cambell's Tomato Soup, then dipped chunks of toasted bread in it. Remember S'mores (of course), Angels on Horseback (I think they were called) with bananas split lengthwise and Hershey's Chocolate bar pieces and marshmallows to fill the slits - the whole thing wrapped in tin foil, then heated in the coals until the chocolate and marshmallows melted, and Mock Angel Food Cake using thick chunks of bread skewered on a green stick, the bread chunks dipped in condensed milk and rolled in coconut, then toasted over the campfire? Those were some of the best, though sometimes very sticky, times, huh? Wonderful memories :->!!!!
