Hobo Stew Packets

I think the recipe Jackie/MA posted is probably closer to the one you knew. Hey, is might be an East Coast/West Coast thing.

I wanted to say we also made HOBO STEW PACKETS that we cooked over the fire coals. You could also do it over a BBQ. We basically used the same ingredients and sealed them in double layers of very heavy tin foil. We would then bury them in the coals and let them cook. Maybe for an hour or so. Oh, yummm, such great memories. The foil turned very black and crusty. Opening the packets in front of the camp fire was such a huge treat.. Yum.
