re: Holuptsi
Misc. I make cabbage rolls quite often, used to make them for fundraisers for my daughter's Ukrainian dancing. Often we would have pot luck dinners and there was cabbage rolls made with mushroom soup. I thought at first they would not be good but I had one and it was awsome. My stepmom often made plain ones like you are describing....I never asked her for the recipe but I think if you use chicken broth instead of tomato sauce or soup, that may be what you are looking for unless they were sour...then they were made with sour cabbage which is good also and has no tomatos in it. Hope this helps a bit if you can understand what I wrote...lol.
