I have one of the Smithfield Paula Deen Honey Glazed Hams in my oven right now. Here is the Glaze Packet Ingredient list.

You'll note it contains Silicon Dioxide. This is what Sand is made of. No wonder it is crunchy.

Sugar(White/Brown), Water, Evaporated Cane Juice, Corn Syrup Solids, Maltodextrin, Honey Powder (Maltodextrin, Honey, Silicon Dioxide), Contains less than 2% of Natural Sugar, Flavor, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Spice, Salt, Gelatin, Caramel Color, Antifoam.
