re: meringue powder
Misc.BEWARE, meringue powder is simply egg whites in a powdered form. If your child is really allergic this might just as well be the real thing. I haven't tried it yet, but Ener-G Foods makes an egg replacer that works pretty well in cakes so I thought I'd try to whip it for volume as well. Will try and let you know. This can be bought at most health food stores or if you go to the www.energfoods.com address, there should be a store finder there. More later.
