Re: Painting cookies with icing

I read a message from Terri that gave icing information and said she had her kids paint their cookies with the icing. I'm a computer artist currently not working because of bursitis in my elbow. I'd love to make cut-out cookies this year for the holidays (I haven't done it for years) but can NOT squeeze those icing bags. I'd be pleased to hear more about "painting" cookies if anyone has any suggestions. ie. buy regular paint brushes at art supply store? Should icing be thicker or thinner? any articles with photos available in any mags? etc.
