Dear Liz,

Boy can I relate to your craving. I grew up in Woodside, Queens (w/a few years in Brooklyn) and a thing I crave so often is a good NYC knish. The little rolled up dry ones in "delis" up here just don't cut it. I want those dreamy pillow-shaped ones. I hate to sound pessimistic but I think we're out of luck, all the places in NY that served them bought them from knish suppliers (probably in Astoria and/or Long Island City!) and heated them fresh for sale. But if you learn of a place, please post it! Your kindred knish kraver from Queens :-)
