Dear ladonna,

I think that Lebanese sauce your talking about could be a few things. I am egyptian but frequent Lebanese restaurants in Nj often,they have a sauce that is mostly made of garlic that they call (To-mayya). The other common sauces in Shawerma is (Tahinna) which is a mix of sesame paste,olive oil,salt pepper,vinegar,water,chille powder(shutta)lemmon juice mixed together. The Greeks use the Tzaki sauce on Gyro's the Greek Shawerma and it's sweeter,colder, and the base is yogurt. hope that helps a little
