re: wheat-free, egg-free, soy-free, nut-free - I'm in the same boat, but there's help!

I am intolerant of all things wheat, including its cousins oats, spelt, barley, rye, kamut. I would caution you to check all labels, and watch out for Modified Food Starch - it's wheat starch! I've had very bad reactions to it.

But do check your local library for the books written by Bette Hagman, The Gluten-Free Gourmet. Her recipes are so much better than others, and I've actually been able to make palatable bread!

It's a huge challenge to avoid what your child needs to avoid, but it's also an adventure. Good luck!
