SUPER EASY ALFREDO SAUCE
1/2 cup butter
1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese
1 tbsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. onion powder
1/4 tsp black pepper
2 cups milk (plus more, if needed)
6 oz. grated parmesan cheese
FOR SERVING (OPTIONAL):
cooked chicken, shrimp, crawfish, etc.
parsley flakes (to taste)
hot cooked pasta
Melt butter in sauce pan on medium heat. Add cream cheese, garlic and onion powder. Whisk the mixture until smooth. Add the black pepper. While whisking, add the milk, a small amount at a time. Add the Parmesan cheese and whisk to smooth lumps. Remove from heat when desired thickness. Thin with additional milk if too thick.
If desired, add cooked chicken, shrimp, crawfish etc. to sauce. Add parsley flakes if desired. Toss with hot pasta of your choice.
Makes about 4 large servings
