Recipe for Oven Baked Round Steak

Misc.

OVEN BAKED ROUND STEAK

2-3 lbs. tenderized round steak
1-2 lrg. white onions, sliced
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can beef broth OR beef gravy
1 soup can warm water
2 Tbsp. flour
Kitchen Bouquet for coloring

Season steak with Adolph's Meat Tenderizer, black pepper, garlic powder and onion powder. Place in large baking casserole that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray such as PAM.

Slice 1-2 large white onions over top of steak.

Mix together 1 can cream of mushroom soup, 1 can beef broth OR 1 can beef gravy, 1 package of Lipton's Onion-Mushroom Soup mix, 1 soup can of warm water, and 2 Tablespoons of flour. May add a few drops of Kitchen Bouquet to get desired gravy color. Pour soup mixture over steak and onions. Cover and bake at 350 degrees until steak sticks tender with a fork...usually around 1 hour. This makes a flavorful, tender steak.
